(1) Key vocabularies:
be strict with ;  take a test ;  pass a test ;  fail a test.
(2)Target language.
   I think Peter should be allowed to take the test later .
     I think the school has to have rules .
2.Ability goals
( 1 )Train students’ listening skills.
( 2 )Train students to express agreement or disagreement.
3.Moral goals:
Get the students to know that it’s a good manners to be on time.

1. Check the homework.
2. Review what teenagers are or aren’t allowed to do.
 Step 2.Pre-task.
1. T: There are many rules in our class .For example:
Don’t sleep in class.
Don’t play with the chalk .
Don’t get to school late .
DO you ever do these things ?
How often do you do these things ?
2 .Help students answer by using always ,usually ,sometimes, and never .
Step 3.While-task
Task1. (Activity 1a and 1b )
1.      Show the task Activity 1a .
2.      Point to the picture .Ask students to answer what is happening in the picture .
( The boy is late for class .)
3 .Get students to finish the task on their own .
4. Check the answers .
5.Talk with your partner about your answers in Activity 1a .
(Provide oral practice using the target language in this step.)
6. Remind students the meaning of the adverbs.

1.      Show the task Activity 2a and 2b .
2.      Read the instructions to the class .
3.      Point to the four items in Activity 1a.
4.      Play the reading the first time .Students only listen.
5.      Play it again, circle the answers.

7.      Play it for the third time, do 2b.
8.      Check the answers to 2b.
Task 3.( Group work )
1.      Call students attention to the statements in the box ..Say them to the class .
2.      Ask three students to read the conversation to the class. Complete the sentences.
eg: A : I think Peter should be allowed to take the test later.
   B : I don’t agree .
C: I think the school  has to have rules .
3.      Write them down on the blackboard .
4.      Discuss the statements with your group .
5.      Explain “be strict with somebody ” and “be strict in something ”
Step 4. Summary and homework.
1.Sum up the target language .
2.Write a passage to discribe what was happening in the picture that day .

Step 1.(Leading in )
1.      Check the homework .
2.      Talk about the things that your teachers don’t allowed you to do but you think they should be allowed to do .
Step 2.Pre-tssk
T: I know, you have many opinions about your school life .Sometime ,I am very sorry to hear what you say .I used to be a student .At that time, I also wanted more freedom from my teachers and my parents. Today, we are going to learn an article .We can find these students’ disagreements with their parents and teachers.
Step3.While-task
Task 1.
1.      Show the task. Activity 3a.
2.      Show the new vocabularies on the blackboard : the other day; at present; concentrate; volunteer; local; be good for.
3.      Students read the article and answer the questions.
4.      Check the answers.
5.      Listen to the tape and repeat.
Task 2 (Pair work)
1.      Show the task.
Use the information in 3a to have a conversation . Ask a pair of students to read it to the class. Then practice in pairs.
2.      Ask some students to say their conversations to the class.
Step 4. Post-task (Group-work)
1.      Make a lists of rules for an English club about what should and shouldn’t be allowed to do.
2.      Make conversations using the information on the list of rules.
Step 5. Summary and homework.
T: In this class, we have practiced reading and writing. You should master the usage of “should/shouldn’t be allowed to do” by talking about your family rules or school rules. After class, you have to write an article to talk about your school rules. In this article, you can express your agreement or disagreement.

1 . Language goals:
(1) Key vocabularies:
old people’s home, perform a play, a great experience, have Friday afternoons off, primary school.be sleepy after a long week of classes.
 (2) Master the target language.
    We sometimes have a special day to help others. We should be allowed to take time do the things like that more often.  We should be allowed to have one day off to volunteer and help others.
2.Ability goals
Train students’ reading and writing skills.
3.Moral goals:
Encourage students to use English as much as they can in their everyday life.

1.Practice reading and writing by using the target languages .

﹝Teaching Procedures﹞
Step 1. warming up by talking about rules.
 Get Ss to talk about the ru;es in their school or homes in pairs.
Step 2. Activity 1.  It focuses on vocabulary introduced in the unit.
1. Get Ss to fill in the blanks on their own.Then let several Ss report to the class.
2. Ask Ss to make their own sentenceswith the words given. Then let several Ss report to the class, and write them on the blackboard.
If necessary help them to check.the mistakes in the sentences.
Step 3.Activity 2   Reading and writing
It provides Ss reading and writing practice using the target language.
1. Read the instructions to the class, and ask Ss to complete the work on their own. Encourage Ss to provide examples to back up their points.
2. Ask a few Ss to read their lettres to the class. If necessary , help them to check the mistakes in their letters.
3. Then give them an example of the letter and let them read the letter after class.
4. Teach the expressions and let them nuderstand the meanings and usage.
Step 4 Just for fun
Get Ss to read it, and then asdk one student to explain what’s funny about the cartoon.
Step 5  Make a survey
Get Ss to make a survey about the rulues in his or her friend’s home. Then report to the class, but he or she must use the Passive Voice.Like this:
Li Fang should not be allowed to watch Tv on school nights.
Homework must be finished before 10:00p.m.
Step 6. summary and homework
In this class, we’ve learnt some key pressions and a reading, after class, please read it as often as possible, and practice writing a letter using the target language.

 ﹝Teaching goals﹞
1 . Language goals:
(1) Key vocabularies:
practice their hobbies, get in the way of, a running star, a professional athele, every one of his races, have nothing against, make a decision for oneself, be serious about sth., a very difficult dream to achieve, care about, have a chance of acheving my dream,.
(2) Master the target language.
  I have a chance of acheving my dream.  I am serious about running. We have nothing against running. I watched him in every one of his races.
2.Ability goals
Train students’ reading and writing skills.
3.Moral goals:
Encourage students to be a volunteer .
﹝Teaching importance and difficulties ﹞
1.Practice reading and writing by using the target languages .
2.Train students’ reading and writing skills.
﹝Teaching Procedures﹞
Step1.Warm ing up by asking Ss to read their leetrs to the class.
Step 2. Before reading
1. Ask one student that teenagers means. And then let them talk about the rules that they should obey at school or at home in groups.
2. Then list the rules on the blackboard, and teach them, let Ss share the ieads together with.
Step 3. Learning strategy.
   First go over the learn ing strategy in nuits 1-2, then go through it with Ss, and make sure Ss understand the meanings, then teach some new words and phrases.
Step 4. While reading.
1. Ask Ss to read the passage once without stopping for general undertanding.
2. Then get some Ss to give examples of language they don’t know and want to be able to use. And discuss the meanings of these words and phrases.
3. play the tape for them to listen and repeat.
Step 5. After reading
    For 3a, 1. ask ss to find and underline the three phrases in the reading and understand their meanings.
2.make thrie own original sentences with the phrases, then read to the class, if necessary, help to check their mistakes.
For3b,  1. Ask Ss that how their parents care about them, and let them give some examples.Write them on the blackboard.
2.Tell Ss to find examples in the reading that show Liu Yu’s unhappy with his parents.
   3. Tell Ss to find examples in the reading that show Liu Yu’s parents love him.
   4. Then help them to check.
Step 6. summary and homework
In this class we’ve learnt a reading and some expressions, after class, read the reading as often as possible.
